Laveer is a fashion collection with a focus on the jacket. Inspired by her continual quest for that perfect tailored piece, designer and founder, Kate Ciepluch, created a line of blazers and outerwear in her distinct urbane bohéme aesthetic. The name was coined from an old nautical term and the muse is in the details. Kate Ciepluch started her career in fashion over a decade ago at the original Bop store in Madison, Wisconsin just as Shopbop.com went viral. Upon graduation, Kate moved to New York to buy for the burgeoning e-commerce business where she launched footwear, handbags, jewelry, and swimwear categories, while simultaneously growing the sites apparel business exponentially. Her keen editorial eye segued her role to Fashion Director where she oversaw the retailer’s seasonal trend reports, edited the “front window” of the site, while also being the face of the brand in the fashion industry. From New York to Paris, she built strong partnerships with 350+ designers and fashion editors and set direction for private label product development and exclusive capsule collections. Her unique ability to forecast fashion moments and select what will be the most-talked about item of the season, plus a pure love for style and product, is what makes Kate a sought after fashion expert today and founder of the debut ready-to-wear line, Laveer.
